This fine detailed miniature painting was inspired by my watching the sun rising up through the mist over Newtown Creek one gloriously still summers morning in July. There is something awe inspiring about a sunrise on a day like this. I???ve painted the stillness of yachts at anchor with all it???s reflections in the dawn light. It just seemed to so beautifully balanced.
